Here are some common questions about OBX Screen Rooms.
Can you remove and replace rusty screws on their existing screen enclosure or replace wooden structures with low maintenance ESP aluminum extrusions.
Yes we can, and we have been using 410 stainless steel fasteners for more than 20 years with much success. These stainless fasteners are xylan coated and painted to match our aluminum framing.
As for replacement of your wooden screen enclosure, we use a special system of aluminum extrusion to ensure lasting beauty. Screen panels can be installed onto your existing deck or covered porch. Our system allows us to install wider screen panels and still maintain a tight fitting screen. Screen panels can be up to 96 inches wide, thus providing a more panoramic view of your surroundings if you desire. All our enclosures are non-corrosive for low maintenance.
What type of screen do you use?
Paul Warren owner of Coastal Screen Rooms, has been working in the screen business for more than 30 years. He has always preferred Phifer screens, which are manufactured in Alabama. The life of your screen should last at least 8-10 years. We have customers who haven’t replaced the screen for 12+ years and the screen is still intact and doing well.
We also have pet screen available.
How well do your enclosures hold up in coastal storms and hurricanes?
All our structures are engineered to meet or exceed all state and local building codes. Each structure is engineered to withstand 130 MPH winds.
Do you offer a warranty on your materials and workmanship?
Yes! We offer a 2 year warranty on our materials and workmanship of each of our enclosures.
Will you help us with design ideas, and what fits our house style the best?
Paul has been designing, planning, and building screen rooms, pool enclosures, glass and vinyl window rooms for over 30 years. He is expert in the field and can help you design the perfect structure to meet your needs and fit the style of your home.
